Father was carreer Navy so we travled around lots. Was in Key West at the time of the Cuban revolution. Living in Memphis during the Civil Rights movement. Was at U of IA when the anti war marches were active.

Married to a retired research librian, Peter. Have 1 son James a lawyer in Chicago and 1 son (teacher) and daughter in law (student) at Cedar Falls. And last but not least 1 granddaughter Scarlett Ann McGuinness.
